winners & losers of ww1
Who were the allies & the central powers
The Allied Forces won World War I on Nov 11th, 1918, which became known as Armistice Day. The Allied forces consisted of Great Britain, the United States, France and Russia. They were opposed to the Central powers, which consists of Germany, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italy. The war officially ended on June 28, 1919, after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
Germany was held accountable as a Central Power in the Treaty of Versailles. Alsace-Lorraine, Eupen and Malmedy, Northern Schleswig, Hultschin, West Prussia, Posen and Upper Silesia were surrendered by Germany under the Treaty of Versailles. Germany also lost control of its overseas colonies and suffered severe restrictions on trade and industry. Western Germany was demilitarized (remove all military from an area), and reduced its army size.
Even though the Allied forces one the war, In my opinion i believe that there were no winners of WW1, althought there were countries that either gained more land, achieved more power or industries booming like America did, they still loss huge numbers of soldier, industries, money and possibly weakened nations. Basically there were higher losses than there were wins.
